Data Analysis
Partners: Oxford University, Guys and St. Thomas NHS Hospital Trust
WP9 is concerned with the development and application of statistical methodology for the analysis of data types generated in the programme. Each of the experimental techniques utilised in WP2-7 and 10 will generate high-dimensional data types with complex correlation structures. An essential prerequisite to using each technique will be a sound understanding of the sources of variability, both biological and experimental, and the reproducibility of results under different protocols. This will provide the basis for statistical methods for extracting maximal information from each data type, and for correlating these to disease endpoints leading on to the accurate prediction of disease status and progression.
