The goal of WP8 is to develop bioinformatic tools to track sample information and to support the storage, interrogation and analysis of the large complex data sets produced by the MolPAGE technology platforms. A crucial aspect of the scientific and technological objectives of the MolPAGE Programme is the handling of multiple types of biological data emerging from different approaches to molecular phenotyping. The appropriate data warehousing of such information, particularly from large populations, presents a significant challenge and the objective of the project is to develop the necessary dictionary and warehousing tools for a range of these outputs.
