Sample Collection and Management

Workpackage 1 is concerned with issues related to sample collection, processing and storage.  This involves the collection of de novo samples under standardised conditions to support methods development for MolPAGE technology platforms and for medium scale biomarker discovery in metabolic disease.  The data generated by these experiments is used to answer important practical issues – for example, optimising and standardising sample preparation and storage protocols and for evaluating the reproducibility and heritability of molecular phenotyping data.
